FAQ
INDUSTRY ATHLETE - FAQ PAGE
Product Basics
What is the IA-1 CHASSIS? A 5-layer insole built with sport performance tech, adapted for concrete, ladders, and long shifts. Structured support that doesn't go flat like gel or foam.
Who is this for? Workers on hard floors—electricians, warehouse, construction, concrete, kitchen staff. If you're on your feet 8-12+ hours on hard surfaces, this is built for you.
What makes it different from Dr. Scholl's or gel inserts? Gel and foam compress. The IA-1 CHASSIS stays structured through the full shift. It's built like athlete gear—engineered for bodies under load, not quick comfort that quits.
Is this a medical device? No. It's performance gear for industrial work. Not orthotics, not medical treatment—just better support than stock setups.
Sizing & Fit
How do I know my size? Order your boot size. The IA-1 trims to fit most boots. Sizing guide is on the product page.
Will this fit in my work boots? Yes. Built for heavy work boots—steel toe, composite toe, leather boots. If your current insole is removable, the IA-1 fits.
Do I need to remove my current insole first? Yes. Pull out the stock insole, drop in the IA-1. Don't stack them—that changes the fit and can make boots too tight.
What if it doesn't fit? Trim it. There's a trim line on the insole. Cut to match your old insole shape if needed.
Performance & Durability
How long does it last? 12 months of daily use on concrete. Some guys get 17 months. Depends on your hours and surfaces. When it starts feeling flat, replace it.
Is there a break-in period? No. Comfortable from day one. Some guys notice the structured feel for the first shift, then forget it's there.
Does it actually work for 12-hour shifts? That's what it's built for. The Load Distribution Chassis spreads your weight across the whole foot—not just heel and ball—so support stays consistent all shift.
Will this help my knees and back? When your feet are supported right, shock doesn't travel up the chain. Guys report less knee and lower-back strain. Not a guarantee, but it's the feedback we get.
Can I use this for running or gym work? It's built for industrial work—concrete, standing, ladders. For running, get running insoles. This is designed for load and impact on hard floors, not track performance.
Comparison to Alternatives
I've tried insoles before. They didn't work. Why is this different? Most insoles are soft cushion—feels good, then compresses. The IA-1 uses structure, not soft foam. It holds up because it's built like sport performance gear, not pharmacy comfort pads.
What about custom orthotics? Custom orthotics cost $300-500. The IA-1 isn't custom-molded, but it's engineered for the same job—structured support that lasts. Try this first. If you need custom, you'll know.
How does this compare to other PRO insoles? some are built for hiking. Most are for general work use. The IA-1 is built specifically for industrial athletes—concrete, long shifts, heavy boots. Different design, different outcome.
Shipping & Returns
How fast does it ship? Orders ship within 24-78 business days. Delivery is 3-8 days in the US.
What's the return policy? 60-day trial. If it doesn't work, send it back. Full refund, no questions.
Can I return it if I've used it? Yes. Wear it for 60 days. If it's not holding up or doesn't work for you, return it. We just ask that it's not destroyed—normal wear is fine.
Do you ship to Canada / international? Yes we are A Canadian Company and we ship to Canada and Europe as well.
Care & Maintenance
How do I clean it? Wipe it down with a damp cloth. Air dry. Don't machine wash, don't soak it. Let it dry overnight if it gets wet on the job.
Can I use this in multiple pairs of boots? You can, but it's better to get a pair per boot. Swapping them daily wears them out faster and changes the fit each time.
Does it smell after a few weeks? All insoles pick up odor over time. Wipe them down, let them air out. Some guys rotate two pairs to give each one a day to dry.
Buying & Pricing
Can I buy multiple pairs at once? Yes and it's recommended. Some guys buy 2-3 pairs and rotate them. Keeps each pair lasting longer.
Do you offer discounts for bulk orders (crew purchases)? Not yet. If you're buying for a crew (10+ pairs), email us. We'll work something out.
Is there a warranty? 60-day trial = your warranty. If it doesn't hold up in that time, we'll replace it or refund you. After 60 days, normal wear is expected.
Technical Questions
What's the Load Distribution Chassis? The core layer that spreads your weight across your whole foot instead of just the heel and ball. That's what stops the breakdown and keeps your body balanced.
What are the 5 layers? Surface Control (grip), Impact Dampening Nodes (shock absorption), Load Distribution Chassis (weight spread), Energy Buffer (stops shock traveling up), Foundation Platform (stability). Each layer has a job.
Is it stiff or soft? Structured, not stiff. Feels supportive, not hard. Comfortable from day one, but doesn't collapse like foam.
Does it have arch support? Yes. The Load Distribution Chassis includes arch support as part of the structure. It's built-in, not an add-on.
What's it made of? EVA foam, TPU chassis, and performance-grade materials adapted from sport tech. Built to handle industrial loads.
Specific Use Cases
I'm an electrician. Will this help on ladders? Yes. The Load Distribution Chassis takes pressure off the ball of your foot—exactly where ladder rungs dig in. Guys report less forefoot pain after ladder work.
I stand in one spot all day (machine operator, line cook). Does this work for that? Yes. Standing still is harder than moving. The structured support keeps your foot from sinking, so pressure stays distributed. No breakdown.
I walk 15+ miles a day in a warehouse. Is this overkill? No. That's exactly what it's built for. High mileage on concrete = high impact. The IA-1 holds up where cushion quits.
I'm on steel decking or grating. Will this help? Yes. The Foundation Platform adds a stable base so you're not feeling every ridge through your boot. Less fatigue, better balance.
